1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") explain the rules that apply when you use:

  • the public website at https://tawano.com (the "Site"), and
  • the interactive demo at https://try.tawano.com (the "Demo"),

together, the "Sites".

This document describes what the Sites are for, what you may and may not do with them, and how we limit our responsibility. It is provided as the rules of use for the Sites; it is not presented as a negotiated or signed contract, and we do not claim that merely opening a page creates one. By continuing to use the Sites, you acknowledge these rules. If you do not wish to be subject to them, please do not use the Sites.

The enforceability of any provision of these Terms is subject to applicable law, including consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived by agreement (see Sections 8 and 9).

Scope limitation. These Terms apply only to the public informational Site and the interactive Demo. They do not govern real service orders, the work of service professionals, payments for services, or order cancellations in the Tawano application. Those activities, when offered, will be governed by separate terms.

2. About Tawano

Tawano is a platform being developed to help homeowners find and work with home-service professionals. The public Site is intended to introduce the product: what it is, how it is designed to work, and what to expect.

The Site is informational only. We do not promise:

  • that any particular service, professional, or coverage area is or will become available;
  • any specific launch date or timeline;
  • any particular outcome, price, or result from using Tawano in the future.

3. Interactive Demo

The Demo at try.tawano.com is exclusively a demonstration and simulation. In particular:

  • All professionals, service offers, requests, quotes, messages, and orders shown in the Demo are fictional.
  • All prices, fees, and totals shown in the Demo are illustrative only and do not represent real offers.
  • The Demo does not create real orders and does not process real payments.
  • Using the Demo does not create any obligation for us or for you to provide or receive services.
  • No account is required to use the Demo, and no account is created by using it.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Sites for their intended purpose: learning about Tawano and exploring the Demo. You agree not to:

  • use the Sites for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law;
  • interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Sites or the infrastructure that serves them, including by introducing malware, overloading systems, or circumventing technical protections;
  • misrepresent the Demo as a real service, or present fictional Demo content (prices, professionals, orders) as real;
  • attempt to access parts of the Sites or systems that are not intentionally made available to you.

Security research. We do not prohibit good-faith security research. If you discover a vulnerability in the Sites, please report it to support@tawano.com and give us reasonable time to address it before any public disclosure.

5. Intellectual property

The Tawano name and wordmark, the design of the Sites, and the texts, graphics, and other materials we publish on the Sites are owned by FKP STAR LLC or used under license, and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Some elements of the Sites belong to third parties and remain subject to their own rights and licenses — for example, the Manrope typeface used by the Demo (SIL Open Font License) and other third-party components. Nothing in these Terms transfers third-party rights to us or to you.

You may view and use the Sites for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute substantial parts of the Sites' protected materials except as permitted by law (such as fair use) or with our prior written permission.

6. Third-party links

The Sites may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We provide such links for convenience only. We do not control third-party sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for their availability, content, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party sites is governed by their own terms.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Sites or the Demo, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also make parts of the Sites temporarily unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Sites and the Demo are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the Sites will meet your requirements, be accurate or complete, or operate without interruption or errors.
  • The Demo is a simulation; any resemblance of fictional Demo content to real persons or businesses is coincidental.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including applicable consumer-protection laws.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will FKP STAR LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Sites or the Demo.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence to the extent the law does not permit their exclusion. Nothing in these Terms waives or limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived by agreement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or implied warranties. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations in these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by the law of your jurisdiction.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data in connection with the Sites and the Demo are described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or obligations that cannot be limited or waived by agreement under applicable law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before the changes take effect. Because the Sites do not require user accounts, we do not send individual email notices about changes to these Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be interpreted to give effect to the parties' intent to the maximum extent permitted by law.
